Welcome to Holy Trinity Anglican Church!

June 5, 2020

Holy Trinity Anglican Church will begin to hold inside worship services beginning Sunday, June 14, 2020, at 10 am. Please read about how the vestry plans to do this safely. We look forward to returning to indoor worship with these changes. Feel free to contact your vestry if you have any questions or concerns.

Inside Worship Service Protocol

Prior to Church

Evaluate yourself before coming to church. Have you felt ill in the last 48 hours? Do you have a fever or a cough? Have you been exposed to someone with Covid-19? If you are in any way ill, please stay home. The church will be sanitized on Saturday and again following the church service.

Please observe social distancing at all times. Because masks are required and gloves are optional, some will be available for those who forget. You can find them on the greeters’ table upon entering the church if you need them.

The Eucharist elements will be prepared in disposable cups and baggies early in the week so no living virus could remain on them on Sunday.

Hand sanitizer will be available upon entering the church, the sanctuary, and in the restrooms.

Bathrooms will be sanitized and open. Hand soap and paper towels will be handy and the trash container will be open and readily accessible. You will find both Lysol spray and Clorox Wipes to sanitize the toilet, stall handles and sink as you leave. Please do not flush wipes down the toilets. Place used wipes in wastebasket containers only.

The Parish Hall is off limits as gathering in groups inside the church building is suspended for now. There will be no coffee and no coffee hour offered.

Offerings may be placed in the offering plate located at the back of the sanctuary while entering or exiting the sanctuary.

At 10 am we will gather outside with social distancing of 6 feet between households.

We may have a song or two outside as the diocese has asked there be no indoor singing for now.

We will enter the church wearing masks with the church doors and the sanctuary doors propped open. Please remember to enter with social distancing.

Chairs have been set up in twos, 6 feet apart. Sit by household. Bulletins will be on your chair.

Fr. Rob Cornelison and Mark Lewis will be masked and upfront.

The Praise Band members will be seated with the parish for now.

We will not leave our seats to pass the peace. No shaking hands or touching one another.

Fr. Rob will be masked and gloved to give out the prepared Eucharistic elements. We will come forward by household to receive the elements, take them to our seats and consume them together at the same time the way we received communion in the parking lot. The baggies and cups are to be placed in a container at the back of the sanctuary as
we depart.

Side altar prayers will be offered by Fr. Brandon Grimm during communion. Fr. Grimm will be masked and there will be no anointing with oil.

At the conclusion of the service, exit the sanctuary through the propped open doors to the parking lot where gathering in groups to visit with social distancing is welcome and encouraged!

Please realize these plans may need to be tweaked as we see what works well and what does not going forward.

Holy Trinity was founded in the fall of 2007. We are a small, friendly church in South Haven, Michigan. Our own walk with God is inspired by the picture of the Christian life that is described in the Bible.

“They devoted themselves to the apostle’s teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs performed by the apostles. All the believers were together and had everything in common. They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need. Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.” – Acts 2:24
We are passionate about worshiping God, and we are committed to following Him daily. We gather for worship on Sundays and throughout the week we meet  to study the Bible, pray, and grow. Come find what you’ve been looking for!

Our Sunday Holy Eucharist Service begins at 10:00 AM preceded by ten minutes of praise music. During the service our worship team offers a blend of traditional hymns and contemporary praise songs.
