OUR BELIEFS

BIBLICAL

We believe the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are the inspired Word of God and the primary authority for Christian faith and life. Through the Bible, God reveals His character, His purposes, and His salvation in Jesus Christ. We seek to read, teach, and live under God's Word, trusting it to shape our worship, discipleship, and mission.

CREEDAL

We stand within the historic Christian faith confessed by the Church throughout the ages. We joyfully affirm the Apostles', Nicene, and Athanasian Creeds as faithful summaries of biblical truth. These creeds unite us with Christians across generations, cultures, and traditions in the worship of the one God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

SACRAMENTAL

We believe God not only speaks through His Word but also strengthens His people through visible signs of His grace. Baptism and Holy Communion are gifts given by Christ to His Church, proclaiming the Gospel and nourishing our faith. Through Word and Sacrament, God gathers His people, forms them into the likeness of Christ, and sends them into the world in the power of the Holy Spirit.

OUR TRADITION

Holy Trinity Anglican Church is part of the Anglican tradition, a worldwide family of Christians whose roots reach back to the earliest centuries of the Church. Anglicanism seeks to preserve the faith once delivered to the saints while proclaiming the Gospel afresh in every generation.

We are both Catholic and Protestant. We embrace the ancient faith of the Church as expressed in Scripture, the Creeds, and the historic worship of the Church, while also affirming the insights of the Protestant Reformation, including the authority of Scripture, salvation by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, and the call to continual renewal according to God's Word.

As a congregation of the Anglican Church in North America (ACNA), we stand alongside Anglicans around the world who uphold the historic Christian faith and the authority of Scripture. We affirm the Jerusalem Declaration, which calls the Church to remain faithful to the Gospel once delivered to the saints and to bear witness to Jesus Christ in our generation.

In a rapidly changing world, we believe the ancient faith remains good news for today. Through Scripture, Spirit, and Sacrament, we seek to know Christ, grow in His grace, and make Him known in our community and throughout the world.
